Pull Up

Pull up means stopping and restarting a tune from the top — or from a key drop — at the selector's or crowd's request, closely related to rewind but sometimes emphasising a specific instrumental moment or deejay entry.

Why it matters: Pull ups keep dancehall participatory. They reward a killer voicing, a new dance, or a dubplate special and are central vocabulary for anyone reading session footage or clash reports.
