Install on your phone

JM Listen runs as a lightweight app on your home screen — full-screen player, offline-ready shell, and the full Jamaican music library. There is no App Store or Google Play listing; installation takes about 30 seconds in your browser.

Open the Music Library on your phone first:

iPhone & iPad

Use Safari — Chrome and other browsers on iOS cannot install home-screen apps.

    In Safari, go to jamaicansmusic.com/listen.

    Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen.

    Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.

    Confirm the name JM Listen, then tap Add.

  5. 5

    Open JM Listen from your home screen. Music keeps playing while you browse.

Android

Use Chrome for the best install experience.

    In Chrome, go to jamaicansmusic.com/listen.

    Tap the menu (three dots, top right) or look for an Install app banner at the bottom of the screen.

    Tap Install app or Add to Home screen, then confirm.

    Find JM Listen in your app drawer or on your home screen and open it.

Good to know

  • Not in the App Store or Play Store. JM Listen is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — it installs directly from the website with no store account required.
  • Updates are automatic. When we improve the player or catalogue, your installed app picks up changes the next time you open it.
  • Playback uses YouTube. Tracks stream through official YouTube embeds, the same as on the website.
