Protoje (Oje Ken Ollivierre) has publicly put his 2026 album The Art Of Acceptance and the Damian Marley collaboration “At We Feet” forward for Grammy consideration. In an Instagram post reported by DancehallMag on 14 October 2026, Diggy urged Recording Academy voters to weigh The Art Of Acceptance in Best Reggae Album and “At We Feet” in Best Global Music Performance.

Protoje’s Instagram language, as quoted by DancehallMag, balances campaign etiquette with a refusal to let trophies define the work: “Even though nothing can compare to the real world impact that this album has achieved, nor can awards quantify it’s importance,” he wrote, before the familiar industry phrase “for your consideration.” The post closes with thanks rather than hype: “Thanks for all the love on these works,” and “Bless up all singers and the players of instruments.”

Important: this is a for-your-consideration campaign by the artist. It is not a Recording Academy nomination. Nominations are announced separately by the Academy after its own screening and voting process.

The album and the single

The Art Of Acceptance arrived in April 2026 through Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective under exclusive licence to Ineffable Records — a thirteen-track set that extends the Kingston singer’s roots-revival arc beyond Third Time’s the Charm. We covered the roll-out in depth when “Love Overflow” premiered as the album’s official video in September. The Art Of Acceptance is not yet represented as a full album in our Listen library; this piece reports the FYC push only.

“At We Feet” pairs Diggy with Jr. Gong for a separate category lane. Best Global Music Performance is a younger Grammy field — added ahead of the 2023 ceremony — that places reggae beside recordings from across the global music map. DancehallMag notes the Marley feature as a factor in that wider ballot; we are not treating the post as confirmation of either title advancing past the Academy’s screening stage.

Grammy season context

The Art Of Acceptance sits among the albums entered for Best Reggae Album in the 69th Grammy Awards cycle. DancehallMag reported on 13 October 2026 that first-round voting opened around 12 October and runs through roughly 22 October 2026, with nominations expected on 16 November. That timetable is Academy process — distinct from Protoje’s Instagram ask this week.

Ollivierre has stood on the Best Reggae Album shortlist before. Grammy.com lists A Matter of Time among the nominees at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards (2019 ceremony cycle); Shaggy and Sting’s 44/876 took the trophy. DancehallMag’s 14 October report adds that In Search of Lost Time (2020) returned him to the category the following year — neither run produced a win, which lends weight to his Instagram framing about impact beyond statuettes.

Damian Marley’s name on “At We Feet” arrives with its own Grammy pedigree in Best Reggae Album. The Recording Academy’s category archive records wins for Halfway Tree (2002 ceremony), Welcome To Jamrock (2006) and Stony Hill (2018).

Heritage

From Saint Elizabeth and Kingston studios to festival stages abroad, Protoje has spent more than a decade as one of the clearest pens in Jamaica’s contemporary roots movement — records such as Ancient Future and A Matter of Time helped reset expectations for live musicianship and lyrical discipline in a streaming era. The Art Of Acceptance reads as another chapter in that lineage: acceptance as theme, In.Digg.Nation as infrastructure, and a public Grammy appeal that admits awards cannot quantify the work while still inviting voters to listen.

Why it matters

October brings a wave of label- and artist-led FYC posts from Kingston to Los Angeles. Protoje’s dual filing — album and global-performance single — mirrors how reggae projects now straddle category lines designed for different listening habits. The Instagram tone is unusually candid about what Grammys can and cannot measure; the campaign is nonetheless the formal nudge that keeps The Art Of Acceptance and “At We Feet” in front of voters while first-round ballots are live. Whether either title surfaces on the 16 November nomination list is entirely the Academy’s call.
