Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley has lined up the complete No Better Riddim compilation for Friday 16 October 2026 on Ghetto Youths International, the Marley family label he steers as producer. The 16-track set is a one-riddim juggling project — Jamaica’s tradition of placing many voices on the same musical foundation, each artist writing fresh lyrics and melody without a credited “feature.” Press Play all above for the seven singles already on official YouTube, open the No Better Riddim album page, or scroll to the in-article player below.
DancehallMag (15 October) and NY Carib News (14 October) report that the rollout began earlier in 2026 with Jemere Morgan’s “Know Better,” which introduced the riddim’s warm, melodic base. Ghetto Youths then released singles one by one — among them Romain Virgo’s “Lay My Head,” Alaine’s “Love Again,” Pressure Busspipe’s “So Amazing,” Turbulence’s “Twin Flames,” Ghost’s “Coming Again” and Jaz Elise’s “Don’t Spoil Love” — so each cut could stand alone before the full sequence arrives.
What lands on 16 October
The album date brings previously unreleased vocal cuts, per the same reports and the Reggaeville release page: Sevana on “Fight Fi Di Love,” Chino McGregor on “Jah Will Be There,” Richie Spice on “Black Foundation,” Medisun on “Rastafari Love,” Singing Melody on “Rivers To Cross,” Da’Ville on “You Make It Easy,” Zaila Jazz on “Hometown” and Queen Omega on “Should Have Known Better.” Marley closes the set with the instrumental “No Better Riddim (Version)” — the beat stripped back after fifteen storytellers have had their say.
DancehallMag frames Marley’s production as roots reggae instinct, lovers rock warmth and contemporary touches, with space left for singers to carry personality. NY Carib News emphasises the generational span: veterans such as Richie Spice, Turbulence and Singing Melody alongside younger names including Morgan, Jaz Elise and Zaila Jazz — a meeting point between eras that still honours the riddim format reggae and dancehall have relied on for decades.
