Thunderclap

Thunderclap names a sharp, percussive dancehall step and associated tune era where dancers emphasise sudden stops and hits in the music — matching bass drops with clap-like body accents on the dancefloor.

Why it matters: Percussive dances train listeners to hear rhythm differently. Thunderclap-era moves connect physical timing to producer arrangement choices in digital riddims built for peak impact.
