Signal the Plane

Signal the Plane is a dancehall move with arm gestures mimicking airport ground crew directing aircraft — tied to popular songs and session chants — that crowds perform collectively when selectors replay the associated riddim.

Why it matters: Novelty dances renew session excitement between eras of major steps. Signal the Plane illustrates how humour and spectacle keep street dance participatory for casual fans and serious queens alike.
