Horn

In sound-system hardware, a horn is a flare-loaded driver that projects mid and high frequencies over distance — paired with bass bins so outdoor dances carry intelligible vocals and brass across a crowd.

Why it matters: Horn arrays give Jamaican outdoor sets their piercing presence. Stack builders experiment with horn size and placement to avoid feedback while keeping deejay toasts audible at the back of the lawn.
