Blvk H3ro — pronounced “Black Hero” — releases Strictly Good Vibes Vol. 1 on Friday, October 2, 2026, and opens a West Coast run the very next night. The Portmore-born singer announced the project himself on September 25: “I present to you Strictly Good Vibes Vol 1, a capsule/mixtape of music we created over the last year made with love in our hearts,” he wrote on X. A capsule, not an album
The wording is deliberate. H3ro is not calling this his next studio album; he is calling it a capsule — a year of songs gathered in one place, looser than a formal rollout. The “Vol. 1” tag suggests it is meant to be a recurring format rather than a one-off, DancehallMag noted in its September 26 report. The announcement came directly from the artist, with barely a week between the reveal and the release date.
As of September 28 there is no public tracklist and no official upload of the project on his channel, so we are not guessing at its contents. It follows a run of recent singles — “Stepping Hot,” “New Life,” “Liberate,” “Phenomenal” and “Body to Body” with Kheilstone all have official videos on the channel — but which of them, if any, make the capsule is for October 2 to answer. The record it is built on
“Strictly Good Vibes,” the single, came out on February 13, 2026 through Diaspora Sound / Boomyard, produced by Aspekt Mafia. The release announcement calls it “one of his standout records of 2026,” and it has since given its name to the remix, the tour and the capsule that follow — the closest thing he has had to a title for the whole year.
The remix, out September 16, 2026, opens the song up. The Movement, the long-running reggae band out of Columbia, South Carolina, bring the American reggae circuit with them; Perfect Giddimani, the Jamaican singer behind “Hand Cart Bwoy,” brings a veteran’s voice from the island side. The pairing “naturally connect[s] H3ro’s sound with wider reggae audiences,” the release announcement says, and that is the calculation: one record that sits comfortably on a Jamaican playlist and a West Coast reggae-rock bill. The Strictly Good Vibes Tour
The tour is a run of small rooms through California and Nevada with The 3peat Band, and it opens the night after the capsule drops. H3ro framed the Los Angeles date as “sharing love and reggae vibrations up close and personal with family,” DancehallMag reported. Gold-Diggers is a deliberately intimate East Hollywood room, and the rest of the routing follows suit. - Sunday, October 18 — Santa Cruz, CA — Woodhouse Blending & Brewing, with The 3peat Band plus Blakkamoore, Big Klef and Selecta 7 Sound. All ages, early show.
- Thursday, October 22 — Reno, NV — Club Underground.
- Friday, October 23 — Pacifica, CA — Longboard Margarita Bar, with Honey B.
- Sunday, November 8 — venue to be announced.
The announcement says additional West Coast dates are still being routed, so expect the list to grow; his site is the place to check. The run follows recent shows in France, Germany, Poland, Panama and Costa Rica, plus Reggae on the River in Humboldt County.
Who is Blvk H3ro
Born Hervin Augustus Bailey Jr, he grew up in Waterford, Portmore — the same St Catherine neighbourhood that produced Vybz Kartel — playing drums and singing in his father’s church before a bank job gave way to music. He earned a Grammy nomination at the 65th Awards (2023) for Best Global Music Performance with Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni on “Neva Bow Down” — a nod he told DancehallMag came as “a huge shock.” His 2023 album On A Mission, with Teejay, Skillibeng, Anthony B and Dre Island among the guests, drew public complaints from broadcaster Junior Rodigan when it was left off the Best Reggae Album shortlist. The ACTIVE and Winnah EPs followed in 2025 through Delicious Vinyl Island, the Caribbean imprint of the Los Angeles label.
In 2025 he took the Dennis Brown Award for Most Promising Entertainer at the 42nd IRAWMA and was nominated for Best New Artist at the Caribbean Music Awards, and his take on Ini Kamoze’s “Here Comes the Hotstepper” with French duo Trinix has passed 40 million streams, according to his official biography. His credits also include Bunny Wailer, UB40 and Stonebwoy. Strictly Good Vibes Vol. 1 is the first collected statement since that momentum built.
