Jaz Elise

2018–present

Jaz Elise (born Jasmine Taylor, 18 February 1996) is a Jamaican singer and songwriter from Harbour View, Kingston. Raised in a musical family, she began singing in church at age five and later trained in dance and theatre with the Quilt Performing Arts Company.

After studying psychology at The University of the West Indies, she committed fully to music and connected with producer J.L.L., who introduced her to Protoje. She signed to his In.Digg.Nation Collective label alongside artists like Sevana and Lila Iké, later reaching a wider audience through the label's partnership with RCA Records.

Her sound blends reggae, soul, R&B, and dancehall. Breakout singles include "Fresh & Clean" and "Rice & Peas," and her 2021 debut EP *The Golden Hour* featured tracks such as "Radio," "Elevated," and "After 3."
