Bounty Killer

1990–present

Rodney Basil Price (born 12 June 1972), known professionally as **Bounty Killer**, stands as one of dancehall's most formidable lyricists. His self-styled title of "Poor People Governor" reflects his lifelong commitment to voicing the struggles of Jamaica's inner-city communities.

His career spans over three decades and includes landmark collaborations with international acts including No Doubt, Fugees, and Cocoa Brovaz. Albums like *My Xperience* (1996), *Ghetto Dictionary* (2002), and *Nah No Mercy* (1995) are essential dancehall listening.

Bounty Killer has mentored numerous artists including Mavado, Vybz Kartel, and Busy Signal.
