Yaksta has released “Bed Room” — a new single issued on Friday 2 October 2026 through New League Music and distributed by VPAL Music. The Jamaica Observer (6 October) and DancehallMag (7 October) both report a smooth, contemporary dancehall production and an unapologetically adult, late-night love song — a clear departure from the motivational and socially conscious lane that built his name.

After the microphone saved him

“Bed Room” arrives months after Yaksta’s fifteen-track sophomore album The Microphone Saved Me, released in June 2026. That project carried themes of growth, gratitude, spirituality, perseverance and love — the kind of reflective register that earned him respect on festival stages and at industry ceremonies. This single turns the dial: same St Mary roots, different temperature.

The St Mary-born artiste has long moved between reggae and dancehall, but his breakthrough cuts — including “Ambition,” which won JaRIA Song of the Year in 2022 — leaned toward uplift and message. “Bed Room” shows he is not confined to one mode. As DancehallMag puts it, he is showing his adult side.
