Masicka is bringing Forever1NE home. The Portmore-born dancehall artist will headline the inaugural Forever1NE Music Festival at Caymanas Park on Saturday, December 19, 2026 — his first self-headlined show in the city that shaped him, the Jamaica Observer, Jamaica Gleaner and Jamaica Star report.
The festival is presented by Masicka and his 1Syde team in partnership with Zimi Entertainment, with Magnum as title partner. Special guests and additional entertainment are promised; the full line-up is still to be announced.
A Portmore homecoming
“Forever1NE has always represented more than just me. It represents the people who have been with me from the beginning, the fans, the team and everybody who believes in the journey,” Masicka told the Gleaner. “Portmore is home, so being able to touch the stage here and bring Forever1NE to the people means a lot. After everything that has happened this year, it feels right to celebrate this moment at home.”
He said patrons can expect “big performances, surprises and energy from start to finish,” with the aim of creating something that “represents dancehall and Jamaica on a major level.”
After Forever Reign
The announcement lands months after Masicka released his third studio album, Forever Reign, through Def Jam in August 2026. That set debuted at number four on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart — meaning all three of his studio albums have reached the chart’s top five, after 438 and Generation of Kings each peaked at number two, the Observer notes. In mid-August he also sold out Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on a Reggae Fest bill one day after the album dropped.
Nicholas “Zimi Nick” Mahfood, managing director of Zimi Entertainment, told the Observer the company sees Forever1NE as a chance to build a signature Jamaican live event — one that reflects the strength of dancehall, the culture, and Caribbean production.
Why it matters
Portmore has been central to Masicka’s identity and catalogue for years. Staging the first Forever1NE festival at Caymanas Park turns that geography into a bill: a hometown headline after an international album cycle, with Magnum and Zimi Entertainment behind the production and more names still to come.
