Rounding out the cast is a mix of both professional and non-professional Jamaican talent among whom are stage legend Carol Lawes (playing the unhelpful receptionist, Mrs. Ivelyn Campbell) and up-and-comer Kimberly Patterson (known for her role in Nick Cannon's, King of The Dancehall) who manages to make Renee's seemingly oblivious best friend, Desiree, endearing.
Written, directed and edited by Jamaican filmmaker, Teeqs, Losing Patience is a collaborative labour of love that relied heavily on the hard work of its dedicated crew; an assembly of local film andtelevision professionals including Executive Producer Justine Henzell, Director of Photography Gareth Cobran and Producer Natalie Nash.
Recognizing a need for Jamaican people to see themselves in more diverse and expansive ways, the show's creative team has launched Losing Patience (first on local television and now, online) as part of a second wave of homegrown content, made by Jamaicans and starring Jamaicans that can translate to audiences beyond the island's shores.
