Studio One at 13 Brentford Road in Kingston was Clement "Coxsone" Dodd's label and studio — foundational to ska, rocksteady, and early reggae with the Skatalites, Wailers, and Burning Spear among its thousands of releases.

Why it matters: Studio One is often called the Motown of Jamaica. Its catalogue remains actively reissued and versioned, making Brentford Road ground zero for understanding island recording history.
