Following a series of highly rated riddim releases, Young Vibez Production returns with the Dark Skies Riddim. The new production features dancehall's chart toppers in the likes of I-Octane, Popcaan along with newer shakers Vybrant, Versatile, Jahmiel. "Dark Skies" gives dancehall lovers a touch of what they have been longing for, raw dancehall essence with a modern appeal. The instrumental takes its energy from the "streets", an element that many hardcore dancehall fans will connect with as producer Jamie Roberts explained, "each song's lyrical content is something many people can identify with. "
YVP recently celebrated the accolade of having one of its singles "We Never Fear Dem" by Vybz Kartel featuring Popcaan added to the record shattering video game, Grand Theft Auto V. The single is featured on the game's Blue Ark radio station along with several other dancehall hit singles. "I was overwhelmed when I got the call. I was really excited to see my work being recognised on an international platform," Roberts expressed.
In an effort to remain prolific in his craft there is currently another riddim, Darker Skies, in the works to follow up the aforementioned riddim. Set for release in early November, Roberts describes the new riddim as having a more "clean but gangster vibe". There is also a one-drop riddim, RoadSide Riddim scheduled for release in early November. Fans will get an early preview on October 15th when the first single from the RoadSide Riddim, Free Me Up by Christopher Martin is unveiled.
Apart from riddims, YVP is also focused on releasing in house artiste Jahmiel's second mixtape self-entitled "Jahmiel" which fans can look out for in December.
