With early chart success with the trio of songs Another Try, Punching Bag and Life Goes On, which topped ZIP 103FM's charts last year, the 21-year-old entertainer from Ocho Rios, St. Ann reports of pending work with Aidonia, Serani and another rising star, Xyclone.
Deep Jahi is managed by Julian Jones-Griffith of Rock Stone Media and is the only artiste currently signed. Serani, who partners with Jones-Griffith at Rock Stone Media, reveals that outside of himself, Deep Jahi is their primary focus for the time being but they will eventually sign other artistes once their young charge begins to achieve the success they expect of him. Together they plan to release a mix-tape within the next two months. The tape will feature songs from the entertainer as well as songs from Serani and others. Deep Jahi says how well the tape does will determine how soon his album scheduled for release this year, comes out.
The album, he says, will be comprised of great music because that is where he feels he will find the best success. "We just want to make good music that people can play for their kids," he said. For that to happen, he says, he has to lay the proper foundation for him to build on. "We just have to work hard," he said. "Hopefully people will gravitate towards that."
