The much speculated and talked about story of Snoop Lion's metamorphosis to the Rastafarian faith will unfold in select theatres on March 15, 2013.
Directed by Andy Capper of Vice Magazine, the close-up documentary ultimately will act as a means to whet fans, critics and well-wisher's appetite for the Reggae-laced album, executively produced by Major Lazer's Diplo, due later this year. However, the film is expected to give an adequate background for the surprising change in 40-year-old Snoop's career.
The film journeys from picking freshly grown herbs deep in the Blue Mountain Range and visiting Trench Town – meeting 65-year-old Bunny Wailer who shares his wisdom with the new Reggae singer and dubs him 'Snoop Lion' - to meeting and participating in varying Rastafarian traditions.
