JAmusic: Music lovers globally will always be looking for that new, impeccable sound that can be looked upon as leaders of the new wave of vocalists. How would you define a musical genius that can eventually become a vocal leader?

A: I would say that for one to become a vocal leader in this time, one would have to study and acknowledge the evolution of sounds over time and experiment with past n present sounds to build one unique to them and also constantly train and seek to become better at vocal delivery and style.

JAmusic: Some of the most genius artistes have thrived when taking chances and innovating. How important/present is that on the Reggae soundscape today; from what you've seen and that might have help in composing your singles?

A: That is very important on the Reggae soundscape and in the music industry worldwide. It is very important for each artist to be unique and that uniqueness usually comes about wen one does what has already been done and tries to go beyond that. That i think, allows your audience to identify u with something/someone they've already loved and also see and appreciate ur individuality amidst that. Thats my aim in creating all my singles.

JAmusic: How do you think a single such as Everyday will impact your growing fan base as well as attract new listeners?

A: I think "A-GAME EVERYDAY" will appeal to people on a worldwide scale. Its a fresh sound, content is very relatable, there's clarity in production and also vocals, the lyrics and flow are very catchy and those elements i think will attract new listeners and impact a growing fan base.

JAmusic: What's the biggest risk you've taken artistically; one that went over surprisingly well and one that might've gone over people's heads?

A: The biggest risk i've taken artistically was making my debut by putting on my own show with a 1hour performance with myself as the only act... That went surprisingly well as it was sold out, half the people i never knew and the crowd response was superb.. That i think was a risk because the norm for the averaged upcoming artist is to open for a more established one or get 10, 15 mins performance time on shows until they think their fan base is big enough for them to host their own. I never doubted i could pull that off so i just did it and it brought me a far way. I have not done anything to date that i think might have gone over people's heads.

JAmusic:  Who's the artiste that keeps you on your toes? Pushes you to go harder?

A: American rapper, Ace Hood keeps me motivated. He's the reason i started my career when i did. I've always loved and followed hip hop music because i like the culture and i really respect the work ethics and will that they bring to the game.. Ace Hood was that artiste that i followed from the start of his career to the point when he was getting his break, and thats when i decided that i would try my best to emulate him and make him my mark. Not only is he a musical and lyrical genius but he has a great story, his good work reflects his life and i respect his determination and work ethics. He's the true definition of "A-GAME EVERYDAY"

JAmusic: When you got into the music business where did you think you'd be today or where did you see yourself fitting in at the moment?

A: When i got into the music business i saw myself playing for some international artiste, not know that today i would have my mind set on becoming an international Artiste.

JAmusic: What's the purpose on your musical journey? What's the message you're trying to give?

A: My purpose is to take my life to a place where i'm looked upon by youngsters worldwide as a symbol of hard work and dedication and be able to inspire them to be the same. The msg i'm trying to give is simple "Guh fi Everything weh yu Want, Nuh mek  nobady tell yu seh yu cant"

JAmusic: What's one song that you hold close to you because of a particular line or better yet what's the most philosophical quote you've heard in a song that you hold close to your heart?

A: "Strong Will Continue" by Damian Marley and Nas is the song i hold close because of the words "The Victory is found in Truth, Like innocence found in youth. Self defeat is your own dispute....."

JAmusic: We live in an era where the average person's attention span is limited to what they want to see or hear. What are you doing differently that will hold their attention?

A: There has been talk about the world waiting for that next young crossover act from Jamaica, one that not only appeals to the caribbean diaspora worldwide but appeals to general listeners worldwide. I think i could be that artiste. Im always seeking to create universal music, music of quality and clarity. Also, always seeking to learn and grow in that direction, have my producers research and also intend to work with producers and artistes that will add to this intention.

JAmusic: With success comes a lot of negative feedback, how do you react or deal with negativity?

A: To every negative comment or action there is always some truth and where there is the truth there is opportunity to learn and grow. Now its important not to focus on this but to pay attention to it because even if its not applicable now, it might be helpful in avoiding something in the future or remind u not no make the negative a reality.

JAmusic: What kind of future plans have you set for yourself as an artiste (to accomplish and maintain)?

A: My future plan is to be able to take care of my family, set a platform for talented youngsters like myself who find it difficult to just start a career in music and to create a legacy that will  live on and impact generations to come.

JAmusic: What insight can you give on the power of music and its ability to communicate certain messages verbally and non-verbally? And what do you think your music represent?

A: Music is the most powerful and influential form of communication and i think most times people are or become what they listen to. That speaks volume on the power of music. My music reflects my name "A-GAME". I think thats self explanatory.
