read full storyWayne Wade is an artist out of Jamaica who is most popularly known for his roots reggae style and his work with Yabby You in the 1970's which started off his career. He was involved in the 1976 production "Black is Our Colour" which gained immediate success in Jamaica and its diaspora. He released his debut album in the same year of the same title and he later went on the release cover versions of the The Paragons' "Happy Go Lucky Girl" and "On the Beach". Wade released 3 more albums before moving on to work with Dillinger, Al Campbell, Trinity and The Tamlins. He then recorded for Joe Gibbs and this collaboration led to the release of "After You" and "Natty Contractor" which entered the UK reggae charts in 1980. The next year Wade released another string of singles including "Round the World", "Tell Me What's Going On", "Poor and Humble", and "Down in Iran" which sprung out of his work with Linval Thompson.
After this success he signed a deal with Epic Records and moved to The Netherlands where he continues to record and release work. In total Wade has released 10 albums with the latest being released in 2007 and titled "Wayne Wade and Friends".
