It is just another step on the road to success for this 28-year-old. like many others before him, Suhverto began singing in school, entering local competitions at high school. He finds inspiration from his surroundings and in the venerable spirits of original truth-tellers like Peter Tosh to name a few. Recording artist Suhverto has done several recordings on popular rhythm tracks for some dancehall big-name labels, now he has set his sights on the international arena. He recorded is first single in 2006. Suhverto, a singjay, songwriter and composer admits that his musical versatility his accredited to his eclectic taste in music. While sharpening his craft, he has matured to the point where his creativity has been captured by two of the most prominent labels in Jamaica today - Big Ship & Head Concussion. To date, Suhverto’s creative output for Steven "Di Genius" McGregor from the "Big Ship" label included songs like “Shake up your body”, on the ‘street swag’ rhythm; With a music video “Shake up her body” for the song. “Dem no really care”, on the ‘bad people’ rhythm; “Wi sick”, a collaboration with Aidiona, on the ‘outbreak rhythm. For Tarik "Russian" Johnston of Head Concussion Records, the singjay recorded “Hypocrite friends”, on the ‘remedy’ rhythm. While in the mainstream, Suhverto has rotation of a few singles on radio stations island wide, song writing credits, production credits and appearances at many stage shows locally, and internationally under his belt. He appears on Spring break and Sting of 2009. A one month European tour April-May of 2010,in such places like Germany, Sweden to name a few. A Caribbean tour, in places like Barbados in August 2010, St. Vincent in October 2010, and Trinidad in November 2010, as he aims at the broader international market, Suhverto has no special niche in mind, he just “wants the music to spread and show his versatility with positive songs.. Music is our inborn thing.”
