“If you can dream it, you can have it”
Born Jermaine Marc McDonald in Portland Jamaica, to parents Jasmine Williams and Carlton McDonald. Jéy-Marc exuded his talent at an early age, first capturing national attention at age 10. Before his evolution to pop and Hip Hop, Jéy had utilized the experience of performing dancehall and gospel acts to 20,000 strong crowds in Jamaica. Where he now returns with the single: “WARN HER”.
“How far will a dream take you?”
All the way from the quiet town of Port Antonio on Jamaica’s north eastern shores, to the zenith of film making at Universal Studios in Hollywood, Jéy-Marc credits this achievement to his life's Mantra:
"Whatever your mind can conceive, it can achieve”.
But a Masters in film-making and Broadcasting, and becoming the CEO of the Starlight Music Group (SLMG) didn't just come to the young Multi-talented Entrepreneur, He had to go for it.
Yearning for greater avenues of expression, Jéy left his home town of Portland, Jamaica to move to the land of dreams in Hollywood California. Here he was exposed to some of the most talented people in the business, so he had to educate himself. Jéy then set his sights on higher education by enrolling in the New York film Academy at Universal Studios Hollywood. Where he successfully completed the intensive 3 years degree program consisting of Film making, music and voice training. But knowing that music is his first true love and passion, He had to get back in the studio to create his first international album.
JéyMarc is currently in the studio writing, producing and collaborating with many well known and talented producers across the globe on his upcoming album. To name a few are Platinum selling producer J Chris Griffin, Griffin has worked on records with a number of popular artists, including Madonna, Kanye West, John Legend, Missy Elliott, and Janet Jackson. He is also working with The Dream, As well as the Jamaican producers Skatta Burrell and Dale Virgo whose credits includes Black eye Peas, Rihanna, Lil John, reggae superstar Beenie Man, Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel to name a few.
