Jah Romie (born Wayanno Goulbourne; 2nd April 1991; Manchester, Jamaica) is a Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall sing jay.
Jah Romie lived in Manchester with his mother and siblings; he attended Prospect Primary and Nain Junior School. His passion for music started from the tender age of 7 years old, playing with old drums and beating pots and pans until he started singing and deejay in school and in his community. As he always says the love he receives from the community helps in motivating him to continue his musical journey.
Jah Romie sees himself as different from the crowd because he and his peers does not allow negative power of any shape or form to influence him or his behaviour.
Jah Romie’s demo consists of songs such as 50 Pound, Big Break, Smoke It Every Day and Put It Back. His inspiration comes from listening to music from artist such as Sizzla especially the albums called Black Woman and Child and Da Real Thing. Jah Romie describes them as real positive music for the soul.
Jah Romie opened show for artist such as Mavado and Jah Mason. He also performs on stage
shows across the island from time to time and is aspiring to perform on some of
Jamaica’s biggest reggae shows such as Reggae Sumfest, Rebel Salute, Sting and also
international Reggae shows.
Jah Romie aims to grow from community love to world love spreading positive messages and
entertaining the globe.
