Christian Massive started back in 1993, and was one of the first gospel reggae artists on the Caribbean gospel scene. This pioneering group was birthed in the hood of Nassau, Bahamas, when over 300 rude boys surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ almost simultaneously.
"We were stupidly on fire," says group founder Kent Johnson as he described the supernatural revival, "All the local news reported on it for days. We walked from place to place singing out loud. We'd spend days on the basketball courts, singing, praying and praising God. Because we were massive in numbers we took the name "Christian Massive". We wrote songs and performed them. As time progressed it was clear some of us were gifted with the ability to sing, chat, rap and dance. We were then encouraged to record our songs, and we've been doing it ever since."
What started out as a crew of five evolved throughout the years and eventually paired down to a husband and wife team. Despite their transitions over the last 14 years, the mission of the group has remained the same.
