Of the album, Serani says: "The album will showcase a combination of styles. It's going to be somewhat old school mixed with my new flavor. Definitely no island pop or anything like that."
Serani is partners with Julian Jones-Griffiths in Rock Stone Media and they have signed rising star Deep Jahi, the 2012 winner of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall Competition. Serani, who has plans to record with the young entertainer, also plans to release a mixed tape in the coming weeks featuring works from both men.
The 31-year-old producer of the Smash album that features Tony Matterhorn's monster hit Dutty Wine also has huge plans to produce for a number of big name entertainers this year. Having recently completed work on his home studio, he believes this will allow him to be more productive.
He reveals an intention to release several one-drop 'juggling' songs featuring the likes of Sizzla, Anthony B, Chrisinti, Tanya Stephens and Taurus Riley among others throughout the course of the year. Working with these artists, he feels, will help bring recognition to Rock Stone Media and position it for greater things in the years to come.
He also has ambitions of recording a few emerging artistes as well; artistes, he said, that has always wanted to work with.
