The headliners for the event, Earth Cry Band and Pentateuch will be featured along with current students of EMCVPA School of Music.
EMCVPA, the premier arts college in the English-Speaking Caribbean, is a proud trailblazer, known for producing graduates of internationally competitive standard. Pentateuch, whose name is derived from the Judo-Christian term for the first books of the Bible, is a band of EMCVPA alumni who are making tremendous strides on the music scene in Europe and North America. They conform largely to the roots reggae genre and seek to bring their audience unadulterated music. They believe that "despite all the trial, music will continue to heal and to live on". The band released their debut album title 'The Genesis' last year and their single on November 19.
The Earth Cry Band
Like Pentateuch, the Earth Cry Band also consists of graduates of EMCVPAs music school. The band, who also have a single titled Hard Road dropping next week comprises a group of youngsters producing quality roots reggae that transcends all boundaries. According to the band "we make conscious reggae for all ages, all religion, and all culture".
This concert is part of the Kingston Music Week series. General admission is $500 and students with ID enter free.
