There will be no choice but to 'Pay Attention' as Club Indulge at South Beach Café comes alive on Saturday, August 17 with the return of Kingston's premier Hip Hop party and showcase.

Local Hip Hop artistes, Five Steez, Nomad Carlos, Sons of Liberty and Shermon Dadz will be hitting the  stage while music will be provided by Resident DJ, Inztinkz, and Fatalic.

Pay Attention's Public Relations Manager, Raquel Allen, says, "Like each event we do, this one is set to be the biggest and the best. We are re-introducing drink specials and offering a 2-for-1 deal for ladies before showtime.  As usual, we will have our DJ's providing the latest and greatest in local and international Hip Hop, and patrons may enjoy the intense energy inside Club Indulge or have a relaxed vibe on the open-air deck outside."

Hip Hop artistes in Jamaica have been receiving more exposure, both locally and internationally, in recent times and  Pay Attention is partly responsible for the most recent surge.  Allen says, "We are proud to present another action-packed show on August 17 with a line-up that features undoubtedly some of the best local Hip Hop talent, and they have been blazing their own trails.

Five Steez developed a name for himself through his 'Momentum' mixtape series with New York-based DJ Ready Cee and eventually released his 2012 debut album, 'War for Peace', which received excellent reviews online and in magazines.  Nomad Carlos has also been  rising for some time and his efforts culminated with two mixtapes in 2012 – 'Live from Yard' and 'Me Against the Grain' – both of which were hailed as remarkable by Hip Hop blogs and publications.

Sons of Liberty, a 6-member group of college students that has brought dozens of paying patrons to prior stagings of Pay Attention, will be delivering from their debut mixtape, 'Escape Theory', which was released in June. Shermon Dadz, another long-standing member of the local Hip Hop community, will also be performing music from his debut mixtape, 'Life of a Dadz', also released in June.

Gates open at 9 p.m. and showtime will begin at 10:30 p.m. Admission at the gate will be $600, while presold tickets  are being sold for $500 at Nanook Enterprises, 20 Burlington Avenue, and Gambling House Recording Studio, 21 Haining Road. Ladies are 2-for-1 until showtime.
