Music will be selected by Rory from Stone Love and gates open at 4pm with showtime at 7pm sharp.  Entrance is $500 with food, drinks and merchandise on sale.  For music fans attending, the intimate open aired setting heightens the experience of discovering exciting new voices in Jamaica's rich musical landscape which is one of the guaranteed joys of the WICKIE WACKIE LIVE series.  

The November line-up promises to continue that tradition with the always entertaining, thought provoking I-Wayne and steady Reggae rhythms of Roots Underground. For those who may not yet know, the voice and lyrics of Sherieta, will be a most refreshing surprise along with the Earth Cry Band, both Edna Manley graduates joining the army of talent that has poured out of the Edna Movement under the able and passionate stewardship of musician-teacher Ibo Cooper.  Representing the community and opening the show will be aspiring artiste Rachaad whose family tree includes the great musician Count Ossie.

Started as a monthly Sunday beach party, WICKIE WACKIE LIVE was launched in 2010 by Edna Manley graduates Raging Fyah through their company Raging Fyah Productions.  The series ran for 18 months featuring Raging Fyah along with other up and coming talent mixed with more well known names.   The WICKIE WACKIE LIVE series provided a much needed live performance platform to a number of today's most talked about young artistes including alumni Jah 9, NoMaddz, Dubtonic Kru, Iba Mahr and Uprising Roots supported by more established artistes like Protoje, Romain Virgo and Duane Stephenson.

After a two year hiatus during which time the band started touring in Europe,  WICKIE WACKIE LIVE returned last month headlined by Raging Fyah, Jesse Royal, Skygrass, Pentatuech and Keida and attracted over 700 fans for a fantastic night of live Reggae music under the stars by the beach.

Experiencing live music by the sea should be commonplace on an island but but surprisingly it is not so in Jamaica.  There are far too few opportunities for Jamaicans or visitors to experience live Reggae music by the sea except at the north coast hotels or in Negril.  Wickie Wackie has been a part of the Jamaican entertainment landscape on and off since the 1960s as a popular venue in St Thomas for dances and parties and continues that legacy today as hosts to the monthly live music series just 15 minutes outside of Harbour View.  The development of an entertainment zone along the eastern strip of the island to include Wickie Wackie, Cable Hut, Cane River and other key venues could enhance the live entertainment options available to Jamaican talent and fans as well as offer more options for visitors to experience a different slice of Jamaica.

The quality of live music presented, ambiance of the beach space and irie vibe makes WICKIE WACKIE LIVE an eagerly awaited monthly getaway for those in the know.  The event series has become a stable brand for music lovers in search of a different entertainment experience in Jamaica.
