read full storyWard 21 is the name used by a collection of dancehall musicians and producers hailing from Kingston, Jamaica. The group famously derived their name from the psychiatric ward at the University College Hospital in Kingston.
The group has been responsible for the production of numerous riddims, singles and albums. Most famously, they can be credited with the creation of such riddims as "Volume", "Da Joint", and "Badda Badda". They are also responsible for such dancehall hits and "Judgement Day" and "Haters". The collective has also released 3 albums "Mentally Disturbed" (2001), "You know how we roll" (2003), and "King of the World" (2006).
The group has amassed an international following as they toured Europe in 2005, playing in venues across Belgium, Russia, Romania, Switzerland, Spain and Italy. They later went on to perform at international Regaae festival Summerjam in that same year.
