Born in Brooklyn, USA, Thomas Williams aka Ras Shiloh is a conscious modern roots singer in the same vein as late great Garnett Silk, his mentor.

He started alongside Ballys International sound system from brooklyn New York city. He released promising debut solo album as Ras shiloh and Idrens Chants , Babylon You Doom . After Listen Well (1999), From Rasta To You, produced by Donovan Germain for his label Penthouse, came out in 2002 on VP Records. HE release - featuring hits as Are You Satisifed, Garnett Silk’s Complain , and Give I Strength (feat. Buju Banton)- revealed him to a larger audience.

Ras Shiloh is a good performer on stage, quality vocals, intelligent lyrics, and good riddims. If it's not done, check out his last album Only Selassie (2007) and you will see that modern roots is still alive.
