Biography
read full storyLos Cafres is an Argentine group formed roots reggae music in the city of Buenos Aires.
It all begins when the first puppet Roberto "The Robba" Adrian Canedo Razul and drummer of the band were at the fair with Guillermo Bonetto Rivadavia Park (formerly punk). They sought records and cassettes of reggae, percussion and winds of the Authentic Decadentes: Kapanga Gone sax and trumpet.
The debut took place in "Funk", an exotic pub located in Santa Fe and Pueyrredón. Many shows were canceled by the overlapping of dates (Bonetto also played Los Pericos). By then, the lineup was unstable and Leonora Bonetto participated Rosana (sister of William) in the chorus. In August 1989, Los Cafres closed the first stage of the band. Lacked places to play and the refusal of the reggae record sealed the fate. The band members settled in different countries (Bonetto and Illobre in Canada, The Robba and Pilatti in Chile) and it was not until 1992 that it reconvened.
