read full storyJu-Ju Blood, son of reggae legend Junior Reid, has been steadily making his way onto the dancehall/ reggae scene. With career influences such as his father, brothers Andrew and Wada Blood, Bob Marley Junior Gong and Big youth. Ju-Ju Blood’s music has been described as a cross between reggae,roots rock and dancehall.
Born Junior Reid on October 11, 1991 into a musical family, There was little escaping the call of music. The young blood was destined for this career path. He has always known he wanted to do music as he has been performing on stage with his dad and older brother since the age of seven.
Ju-Ju Blood sits on the JR Productions music label owned by dad, Junior Reid, along with label mates, brothers Andrew and Wada Blood, Bomb a Drop, Miss Chin, brother Young JR and others. He has performed on several shows both on the local dancehall scene and internationally. The likes of Junior Reid’s Birthday Bash (2009), Shellings Mondaez (2011), Barrington Levy’s Black Roses (2012) and various street dances all locally. Internationally he has performed on a Caribbean tour and in Miami, both in 2011.
The artiste is set to release upcoming singles ‘Come My Way’ on the Overproof ‘Riddim’ for which he has just shot his first video and ‘Some Bwoy’ on the reinvention ‘riddim’ produced by Tuff Chin records in 2012. He has also released his mixtape, ‘The Light in The Dark’ in December 2011.
JR Productions is currently working hard to introduce Ju-Ju Blood to the masses in the year 2012. Reggae fans can be on the look out for this new sensation
