Konshens can be considered as one of the hottest dancehall acts on the rise. His latest single "Gal A Bubble" has peaked on dancehall charts appearing at the number one position on the Richie B weekly music countdown two weeks in a row. It is being heavily rotated within the dancehall circuit from radio stations to events and has raked in considerable sales on iTunes. Along with the track, the video also shares similar success attracting almost 1.5 million viewers on Youtube. As one of the hottest singles for the summer season, 'Gal A Bubble' has even caught the attention of VP Records and was recently signed off to be featured on VP's top-selling series Reggae Gold 2012.
With his summer anthem making waves the artiste has perfectly timed the release of his mixtape Street Code. Street Code mixtape is a compilation of 21 dancehall and reggae tracks, both new music and fan favourites. Unfortunately 'Gal A Bubble' and similar 'party/ girl' tunes are not among the selection. The songs on Street Code are centred about themes related to 'street life', complimented by hardcore lyrics and raw emotions. Collaborations with Suku (Ward 21), Chan Dizzy and Richie Stephens are also included among the 21 tracks. Producers featured include UIM, Head Concussion, TJ Record and Young Vibes Productions. Street Code was mixed by Mixtape Yardy and can be listened to or downloaded on the following links:
