Construction on the road to Appleton Treasure Island (ATI) is still under way.
With a series of planned events leading up to the event in Negril from August 5 to 9, promoters have been staging ATI Wednesdays at the Quad nightclub in New Kingston.
In its second week running, ATI Wednesdays at the Quad is on a drive to draw as much followers as possible. Lucky patrons will also be awarded with season bands.
“We are currently giving away over 150 ATI season passes at our various events in the coming weeks. There will also be another medium by which patrons can win passes,” Promoter Alex Chin told THE STAR.
On Wednesday night, two patrons walked away with season bands as they were spotted inside the Oxygen club, where patrons had to be in order to win.
It was a fun-filled night, as the two-for-one-drink mixes went on all night and college students with ID entered free before 12. The early birds ensured that the DJs had a crowd to play for in the opening segments.
“Nuff people only pretend dem a yuh fren,” the DJ remarked before launching into Jah Vinchi’s Watch Yuh Friends, as patrons ‘walked out’ with the females holding on to their good friends and the males ‘popping’ each others collar.
The party fever was also present inside the more packed Voodoo lounge, where the energy level was high and patrons danced up a storm, while sipping on their drink mixes.
